Cultivating a fresher DTC experience for countertop gardeners

This hydroponic innovator wanted to enhance the online shopping experience for their self-watering indoor garden systems. Hanson created a strategy for enhanced product content, developed copy and visual assets, and reinvigorated the brand’s visual design. The AeroGarden website redesign merged seamlessly with their technology conversion to Salesforce.

Sowing the seeds of a successful website redesign

With a goal of converting their DTC site over to Salesforce Reference Architecture (SFRA), AeroGarden saw an opportunity to simultaneously fine-tune their strategy, UX, and creative content. The Hanson team rolled up our sleeves and got to work, identifying ways to improve their online shopping experience through a refreshed brand and updated page components.

Collaborating in tandem with AeroGarden’s IT team and their build partner, we worked through site visitors’ pain points and developed a design system to overcome them. Then we produced all new product photography and 3D renders, plus helpful illustrations and fresh content to educate and entice shoppers.

By highlighting the simplicity of the indoor gardens and showcasing the diverse, bountiful harvests they grow, we showed shoppers how easy and fun it is to grow with AeroGarden.

Now users will find a consistent set of inspiring Aerogarden images whenever searching for indoor gardening and the new has seen an increase in traffic since moving to the new platform.
