Hanson is seeking a Senior Account Executive to help build, manage and execute digital solutions and integrated marketing programs across a range of clients and B2B/B2C industries. We’re seeking candidates with a mix of past client experience, strong marketing acumen, familiarity with related technologies, and the ability to learn and master agency process.
You’ll be a key liaison between the client and Hanson, focused on identifying client needs, ensuring client business objectives are being met/exceeded, and being accountable for Hanson delivering quality work. It is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be client-focused yet is able to guide the internal team to success on large-scale and small-scale digital projects. You don’t have to be an expert in web development, application design, brand strategy or our other agency disciplines for this position. But you have to be passionate, detail-focused and willing to work and learn.
Position reports to Managing Director, Account Management.
Forms close partnerships and serves as “face of the agency” with key client contacts and as client proxy/advocate with internal team
Demonstrates a strong understanding of clients’ businesses, brands and categories via brief-writing and general collaboration with internal teams
Develops and demonstrates ability to provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise within client organization via creation and delivery of strategic documents/presentations
Supports the development of client deliverables by setting project objectives and integrating input from other departments and functions
Develops solid understanding of client financial picture, maximizing revenue and profitability
Demonstrates proficiency in critical business applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Keynote, Google Drive) and Hanson-specific applications
Demonstrates strong business-writing and strategic skills through collaboration on and the creation of the presentations, proposals, statements of work and meeting/status reports
Effectively manages clients’ expectations with consistent, timely communication
Communicates proactively vs. reactively in order to maximize problem-solving options
Manages timing of projects, balancing client need with internal capacity
Manages conflict resolution and moves things forward when there’s a stalemate
Experience & Qualifications
3-5 years (minimum) of experience in marketing communications, advertising or brand management at an agency or in a corporate role
We are a digital agency, so while you don’t need to know HTML, you’ll need to have some familiarity with digital solutions including website development, mobile app development, online advertising campaigns and/or social media.
Ability to lead appropriately sized projects across all agency departments (e.g., Creative, Strategy, Production)
Ability to partner with project management by creating, monitoring and tracking critical account aspects of all projects with moderate supervision.
Experience actively participating in group sessions (within the agency and directly with clients) to bring value and advance projects
We value skills and qualities, however a degree in advertising, marketing, communications or business is a plus.
